Utah's Siale Fakailoatonga out for season with torn ACL
Russ Isabella / USA TODAY Sports
Utah tight end Siale Fakailoatonga suffered a torn ACL on Thursday and he will miss the 2016 season, head coach Kyle Whittingham told Kyle Goon of the Salt Lake Tribune.
This is crushing news for Fakailoatonga as he missed the last two months of the season last year after suffering a knee injury. According to Goon, he tore the ACL in the same knee he injured a year ago.
Fortunately, he will be able to redshirt and play in 2017. Evan Moeai and Harrison Handley are the likely candidates to start at tight end for the Utes.
