Auburn schedules Southern Miss for 2018 and 2020

Auburn has added Southern Miss to its 2018 and 2020 schedule, the schools announced on Thursday. Auburn will host both games at Jordan Hare Stadium.
"I'm excited to announce the renewal of our long series with Southern Miss," said Auburn Director of Athletics Jay Jacobs. "I remember kicking off our 1983 SEC Championship season against the Golden Eagles. It’s fitting to announce these games one month before we each have a player enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Auburn's Kevin Greene, and USM's Brett Favre."
The programs have played each other 22 times, with Auburn winning 17 contests. Southern Miss last won in 1991.
The 2018 game will take place Sept. 29, while the 2020 match is slated for Sept. 26.
