Charlie Strong: Texas-Texas A&M game being worked out
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports
When Texas A&M left for the SEC in 2012, their rivalry game with Texas left with them.
Texas coach Charlie Strong spoke Friday and said the two programs could meet up soon.
"They're trying to work something out right now where we're going to play the Aggies," Strong said at the Touchdown Club of Houston.
However, according to Ryan Autullo of the Austin American-Statesman, a Texas spokesman quickly shot down Strong's comments.
The Longhorns won the last meeting 27-25 in 2011. Texas leads the all-time head-to-head series 76-37-5.
