Nebraska headlines Big Ten Network's prime-time schedule

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

The Big Ten Network released its slate of prime-time games for the 2016 season Monday, and you can expect to see a lot of Nebraska under the lights.

The Cornhuskers will feature three times on the network, including two games at home, where a nighttime fixture produced one of the wildest endings in the 2015 season against Michigan State.

The defending conference champion Spartans appear on the schedule twice, both road games at Indiana and Maryland. A couple of intriguing non-conference games also dot the landscape for the 2016 season. The battle of Iowa will be featured on Sept. 10, with the Cyclones of Iowa State and the Hawkeyes doing battle in Iowa City, while the same day also features new coach Lovie Smith and Illinois against the high-powered offense of North Carolina.
