Stanford's Reid Travis to miss rest of season with stress fracture

Stanford won't have the services of Reid Travis for the rest of the season.
The sophomore forward has been sidelined since December with a stress fracture in his left leg and the team announced Tuesday that he won't return this year.
It's a tough blow for Travis, who also missed a substantial amount of time last season with a stress fracture in the same leg. Head coach Johnny Dawkins said Travis will apply for a medical redshirt.
Travis was averaging 12.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in 2015-16 before going down.
