Javon Bess may not see any gameplay for the rest of the season.
According to Jox Rexrode of The Detroit Free Press, Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo said that because Bess is experiencing pain in the foot he broke in the preseason, the freshman forward may be finished for the season.
Izzo has confirmed that Bess will miss the Spartans' matchup against Northwestern on Tuesday. Izzo also stated that he is unaware at this time as to whether Bess can get a medical redshirt.
Bess is averaging 2.7 points and 2.9 rebounds this season.
