Chris Cuomo sat down with late-night host Seth Meyers on Wednesday to relive the "tsunami of nonsense" that was his CNN interview with LaVar Ball.

Cuomo admitted he was caught off guard, particularly when Ball claimed he had people on the ground in China who helped son LiAngelo Ball get home after he and his UCLA teammates, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley, were arrested for shoplifting. Cuomo was also surprised president Donald Trump fired back at Ball on Twitter afterward.
"I never thought the president of the United States would take the bait," Cuomo said. "I didn't even take the bait - and my job is to take the bait."
