Arizona's Allonzo Trier: Status remains cloudy

Trier continues to practice with the team, and coach Sean Miller believes he will play "sometime this season," The Arizona Daily Star reports.

Analysis:

Trier has been both one of the biggest mysteries and disappointments of the 2016-17 college basketball season. The school has yet to comment on the reasoning for holding out the 6-5 wing, and even Miller appears to be in the dark on much of the situation -- or at least he claims to be. Trier has missed all 17 games this year for Arizona, and although he'll be an impact player if he does get on the court, there is no return date in sight. It would be headline news if he somehow suited up for Thursday's home matchup against Arizona State.
