With six games left in the best regular season in franchise history, the San Antonio Spurs are hoping to get everyone as rested and healthy in the lead-up to the playoffs.
As such, they'll leave forward Boris Diaw at home to convalesce when they embark on a three-game road trip starting Tuesday in Utah. Diaw is dealing with a sore adductor muscle in his right thigh.
The 33-year-old has played in 75 of 76 games this season, tied with Patty Mills for the team lead. That may owe something to his lightened workload, as his 18.2-minute-per-game average equals the lowest of his 13-year career.
Diaw's made the most of those minutes, though, averaging 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, while shooting 52.8 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from 3-point range as part of the Spurs' league-best reserve corps.
