LeBron says he may join Snapchat in midst of apparent social-media blackout

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

So much for "Zero Dark 23."

After unfollowing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Twitter on Monday, allegedly as a "preamble" to shutting down his social media accounts entirely in preparation for the playoffs, James announced his intention to join another social media platform Tuesday.

So, maybe ridding himself of needless distractions and tuning out some of the "noise," as a source close to him reportedly put it, will be a longer process than initially anticipated.

Or maybe James is just throwing up more smokescreens, or toying with everyone. Only he knows for certain.

Stay tuned to find out whether he follows the Cavs on Snapchat.
