Draymond Green notches 9th triple-double in lopsided win vs. Knicks

Draymond Green's lead as the NBA's triple-double king grew Sunday against the New York Knicks.
Recently named as a reserve for the Western Conference All-Star team, Green finished the night with 20 points on 9-of-9 shooting, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists as the Warriors won their seventh game in a row, 116-95 at Madison Square Garden.

He becomes the first player since Wilt Chamberlain in 1967 to go perfect from the field on nine or more shot attempts and finish with a triple-double, according to Elias Sports.

This was Green's ninth triple-double of the season. Only two other players in the league (Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo) have more than three.

The performance comes a day after Green openly admitted to stat chasing in a narrow 108-105 win over the lowly Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. The 25-year-old finished one assist shy of a triple-double in Philly and said afterward he pushed hard to get the final dime, resulting in him and his team getting sloppy with the basketball and racking up turnovers.
Draymond Green messed around and didn't get a triple-double, then didn't mess around and got a triple-double. #sorry

With a 44-4 record, the defending NBA champions are tied with the 1966-67 76ers for the best record ever through 48 games.
They'll have a few days off before hitting the road again to take on John Wall and the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center on Wednesday.
