Walker, Aldemir take their talents overseas
A pair of former NBA role players have gone abroad to continue their respective careers.
Henry Walker - who played 24 games for the Miami Heat last season - has signed with KK Cedevita. The team plays out of Zagreb, Croatia, and competes in the Euroleague.
The deal for the 28-year-old Kansas State alumnus runs through the end of the 2015-16 season. However, the pact includes a clause which would allow Walker to return to the NBA if the opportunity arises, according to international expert David Pick.
Walker averaged 7.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 2014-15 before being waived by the Heat in July.
Meanwhile, ex-Philadelphia 76ers big man Furkan Aldemir returns to his native Turkey to join Darussafaka Dogus.
The 6-foot-10 forward signed a four-year deal with the Turkish Basketball Super League club. The 24-year-old's new contract is worth over $4 million.
Aldemir - who was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the No. 53 pick in the 2012 draft - averaged 2.3 points and 4.3 rebounds for the Sixers in 2014-15.
