The Miami Heat continue to trim their roster - and their finances - down to size with the release of Henry Walker, the team announced Monday.
Walker totaled 175 points in 24 appearances to the tune of 7.3 points per game last season.
His $1.1 million deal was set to be guaranteed for $100,000 on Aug. 1, but a return to South Beach isn't out of the question, reports Real GM's Shams Charania.
Miami's roster currently stands at 14 players, with the team still looking to sign second-round draft pick Josh Richardson.
Two point guards from last year's squad were sent packing on Monday, as Shabazz Napier got shipped to the Orlando Magic, while Zoran Dragic was dealt to the Boston Celtics.
