PHOTO: Cody Zeller's mom doesn't know his birthday

Raising three children is probably very difficult. Raising three children who grow up to be 7-footers almost certainly brings additional challenges. Still, remembering birthdays is a pretty important part of the whole "Mom" gig.

But Mrs. Zeller appears to be having some difficulty keeping the birthdays of her large adult sons straight.

Lorri Zeller sent an email Thursday, ostensibly looking to find a birthday gift for Cody Zeller, who will turn 23 on Oct. 5. Unfortunately, Lorri's gift is going to be a week late, as she thinks the Charlotte Hornets center's birthday isn't until Oct. 12.

Cody will be in training camp by that time, so at least Lorri would have the excuse that any gift was delayed in transit from the family's Washington, Ind. home. Still, the Zeller parents may want to leave this mishap out of the book they're writing about parenthood.

As a reminder for the rest of the family: Boston Celtics center Tyler Zeller turns 26 on Jan. 17 and D-League brother Luke Zeller turns 29 on April 7.
