The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a two-year deal with free-agent forward Chris Douglas-Roberts, reports Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.

The deal is reportedly for the veteran's minimum.

It was reported on Friday that the Pelicans were interested in the 6-foot-7 wing's services.

Douglas-Roberts signed with the Los Angeles Clippers last September, and played in 12 games.

After sustaining a strained Achilles in November, he returned to action in December.

He was sent to the Boston Celtics in a three-team trade that brought Austin Rivers - the son of Clippers head coach Doc Rivers - to L.A.

The Celtics then waived him.

New Orleans is the 28-year-old's sixth NBA stop. He will compete for a roster spot, as Pels bench boss Alvin Gentry searches for support on the perimeter.

Over the course of his six-year career, Douglas-Roberts has averaged 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists.
