Warriors cancel practice after flight into Houston delayed several hours

The Golden State Warriors may have their own chartered airplane, but sometimes they have to sit idling on the tarmac like anyone else.

With the Western Conference Finals moving to Houston after the Warriors took Games 1 and 2 from the Rockets at home, Golden State's team plane was delayed more than three hours due to mechanical problems, and they arrived Friday night some six-and-a-half hours later than planned, according to ESPN's Calvin Watkins.

The Warriors likely weren't planning on making too many significant adjustments for Game 3 anyway, but the travel complications have given them hardly any time to prepare. As a result of the late arrival, the Warriors opted to cancel their scheduled practice late Friday afternoon.

The team doesn't seem too worried about it. Asked what effect he felt the delay would have on Saturday's game, Steph Curry was unfazed:

"None, I don’t think," he said. "We got in, got some sleep, got our normal game-day routine."

He also find a pretty decent way to pass the time while the mechanical issues were being sorted out.

"I went to the driving range," he said. "And then I went home. Got like 30 minutes (at the range) while we were still trying to figure out what time we were going to leave, which is right next to the airport."
