TNT signs 'Inside the NBA' crew to multiyear extensions

Kim Klement / US PRESSWIRE

It looks like we'll be settling in for a few more years of Gone Fishin', Shaqtin' a Fool, Kenny's Pictures, EJ's Neato Stat of the Night and everything else that's made "Inside the NBA" an Emmy-winning studio show.

TNT has signed the four co-hosts - Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal - to multiyear extensions, according to Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch.

While the network hasn't disclosed the lengths of the new contracts, Deitsch reports that Barkley's will run between eight and 10 years.

Barkley, the show's most bankable personality, had reportedly expressed reluctance about staying on to complete his current contract with TNT (which expires in 2016), let alone sticking around for another decade.

Barkley has been on the show for 16 years, while Smith is in his 18th year and Johnson in his 26th. O'Neal is the most recent addition, having come aboard in 2011.
