Mavs' Devin Harris suffers big toe injury vs. Jazz; X-rays negative
Injuries are slowly culling the Dallas Mavericks ahead of the playoffs.
Point guard Devin Harris left Monday night's game against the Utah Jazz with a left big toe injury in the second quarter and did not return to the game.
The Mavs were already short on bodies, with Chandler Parsons missing his fifth consecutive game Monday with right knee swelling and Dirk Nowitzki, Tyson Chandler and Monta Ellis on precautionary rest. They were consequently blown out by the Jazz, 109-92.
The more pressing concern, though, is Harris' health, and the good news for now is that X-rays on his toe came back negative. Harris will likely sit out the regular season finale on Wednesday, but said he hopes to be ready to play in time for the first round of the playoffs, which start this weekend.
