Ankle injury forces Jazz's Kanter out of game vs. Hawks

Chris Nicoll / USA Today Sports

The injury bug has already reduced the Utah Jazz's shooting guard corps to rubble, and said bug may be spreading to their frontcourt.

Center Enes Kanter turned his right ankle in the third quarter against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. Though he initially stayed in the game, he was eventually forced to the locker room, and after returning to the bench with the ankle taped, was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

Kanter finished with 11 points and six rebounds in 22 minutes. He's averaging 14 points and 7.3 boards per game in what's been the most productive season of his NBA career.
