VIDEO: Doug McDermott leads Cubs fans in Take Me Out to the Ball Game, is shockingly bad at singing

When a bunch of NBA rookies went in front of the camera and put their singing chops on display earlier this month, Chicago Bulls freshman Doug McDermott was conspicuously absent. 

His recent attempt to emcee a seventh-inning stretch at Wrigley Field might explain why:

Carrying a tune about as well as a pubescent Bar Mitzvah boy - even mispronouncing  the word "peanuts" - McDermott butchers the old-time classic. 

But still, you've gotta admire the guy for toughing it out. It's probably good practice, too. Playing in Chicago, after all, takes some thick skin.
