PHOTO: New NBA basketball with Adam Silver's signature

One of the changes that will occur as a result of Adam Silver replacing David Stern as NBA commissioner is a minor detail on the league's basketball.

The current NBA basketball features Stern's signature, but when the switch takes place on Feb. 1, a new ball with Silver's signature will take its place.

The above picture was taken at the Nets' practice facility by beat writer Tim Bontemps, who claims he came across "several balls" with Silver's signature that were "already in use."

NBA basketballs have borne Stern's name for nearly 30 years.
