Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland suffered a left toe injury during Monday's 140-138 overtime loss to the Miami Heat.

The two-time All-Star will receive further evaluation following the game, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

Garland appeared to have sustained the injury late in the second quarter on a drive to the basket.

The 25-year-old attempted to continue in the second half but exited for good with 5:57 remaining in the third quarter.

Garland made his season debut last Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers after undergoing surgery during the summer on his big toe. The injury forced him to miss two games late in the regular season as well as four playoff contests.

Garland was averaging 14 points and 6.5 assists entering Monday's contest.
