Utah Jazz big man John Collins has exercised his $26.5 million player option for the 2025-26 season, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Collins averaged a team-high 19 points in 40 games this past season - his second in Utah. He also posted 8.2 rebounds, two assists, and one block per contest while shooting 52.7% from the field and 39.9% from beyond the arc.
The 27-year-old would've become a free agent if he had declined his player option by Thursday's deadline.
Collins has been listed as a potential trade candidate this offseason, and the Jazz are reportedly open to moving the former first-round pick two years after he landed with his hometown team in a deal from the Atlanta Hawks.
