The Phoenix Suns acquired Brooklyn Nets forward Royce O'Neale as part of a three-team deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, the teams announced Thursday.

Grizzlies forward David Roddy will join O'Neale in Phoenix. The Suns traded forwards Yuta Watanabe and Chimezie Metu to Memphis, while Keita Bates-Diop and Jordan Goodwin moved to the Nets.

The Nets acquired second-round picks in 2026, 2028, and 2029 in exchange for O'Neale, according to The Athletic's Mike Vorkunov. Grizzlies will acquire a 2026 first-round pick swap from the Suns, according to Vorkunov.

O'Neale gives the Suns some perimeter defense at the wing position. The 30-year-old is averaging 7.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in 49 games for the Nets this season.

Roddy has had a difficult season with the Grizzlies, averaging 8.4 points per game while shooting 30.1% from three. Phoenix will be hoping the 22-year-old can rediscover his shooting touch from his final year at Colorado State, where he drained 43.8% of his 3-pointers.

The Suns have two open roster spots that they can fill.
