Report: Lakers' Vanderbilt could miss rest of season with foot injury
Los Angeles Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt has a significant right foot injury that may force him to miss the rest of the season, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Vanderbilt is expected to at least miss multiple weeks, according to Wojnarowski.
The six-year pro missed the first 20 games of the season with a heel injury and was limited once he returned to the lineup.
In 29 appearances on the campaign, Vanderbilt is averaging 5.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game, all lower than his output in 26 games with the Lakers last season after coming over from the Utah Jazz.
The Lakers have had poor injury luck all season, with free-agent signee Gabe Vincent being held to just five games, starting wing Cam Reddish facing an extended absence with an ankle injury, and both stars Anthony Davis and LeBron James missing time recently.
The Lakers are in ninth place in the West.
