Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul is expected to miss four-to-six weeks after suffering a fracture in his left hand during Friday's contest against the Detroit Pistons, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Paul is averaging 8.9 points, 7.2 assists, 3.8 boards, and 1.1 steals in his first season in the Bay Area. He trails only Tyus Jones in assist-to-turnover ratio (6.1) and ranks eighth in assist percentage (34.4%).

The Warriors acquired the veteran floor general from the Washington Wizards this past summer in a multi-player trade involving Jordan Poole.

Paul has struggled to stay healthy in recent seasons. He's made 70-plus appearances just twice over the previous seven campaigns.

First-year guard Brandin Podziemski should see an uptick in minutes during Paul's absence.

Paul's reported injury status comes just a day after the NBA reinstated Draymond Green from his indefinite suspension.

Green is expected to return to the lineup sometime next week, adds Wojnarowski.

Golden State sits 10th in the West with a 17-18 record.
