The Milwaukee Bucks received permission to interview Golden State Warriors associate head coach Kenny Atkinson for their bench boss vacancy, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Atkinson has spent the past two years on Steve Kerr's staff. He previously coached the Brooklyn Nets for four seasons, guiding the club to a 118-190 mark.

He also served three years as an assistant under ex-Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer during the latter's tenure with the Atlanta Hawks.

Atkinson has been linked to the Toronto Raptors' job opening as well as the Houston Rockets' vacancy before they hired Ime Udoka.

Milwaukee associate head coach Charles Lee and former Charlotte Hornets bench boss James Borrego are also reportedly expected to meet with the Bucks.

Lee is apparently one of three finalists for the Detroit Pistons' head coaching position, while Borrego was reportedly in the mix to succeed Stephen Silas in Houston.
