The Minnesota Timberwolves signed head coach Chris Finch to a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Monday.

Finch led Minnesota to a 46-36 record and play-in tournament berth this season.

"I am thankful to Glen (Taylor), Becky (Mulvihill), and the entire ownership group for their ongoing support and commitment," Finch said in a statement. "It's been a season that all of us, including our fans, can be proud of, and I'm grateful that my staff will continue to lead us forward."

The Timberwolves hired Finch, a former Toronto Raptors assistant coach, in February 2021. He recorded 62 wins and a .504 winning percentage since taking over. Finch helped revamp Minnesota's offense, which led the league in scoring (115.9 points per game) and 3-pointers made (1,211) this season.

Minnesota also announced contract extensions for members of Finch's coaching staff. Terms of the deals weren't disclosed.
