Bulls' Thompson prepared for 'chippy' rematch vs. Grayson Allen, Bucks
Tristan Thompson wasn't a member of the Chicago Bulls the last time they faced the Milwaukee Bucks, but he holds some animosity over what transpired in that game.
Thompson made it known Thursday that he took issue with Bucks guard Grayson Allen's flagrant-2 foul on Alex Caruso during the Bulls' Jan. 21 loss to Milwaukee. Caruso fractured his right wrist on the play and has been sidelined since.
"Take one of my dogs out like that, we're gonna have issues," Thompson told reporters ahead of Friday's rematch, according to NBC Sports' K.C. Johnson. "You gotta set the tone. That's what Bulls basketball is about, setting the tone.
"What (Allen) did affected one of our guys, and I don't think anyone should forget about that. So I'm pretty sure the United Center is gonna be rocking (Friday). I think guys have (it) in the back of their head. And if guys wanna play chippy, let's play chippy. I like it. I like a little blood and sweat. I enjoy it. I like to wrestle. Everyone knows that."
The NBA suspended Allen for one game for his flagrant foul, costing him roughly $28,000 in salary.
