Report: Kings trade Bagley to Pistons, Bucks land Ibaka in 4-team deal
The Sacramento Kings are trading forward Marvin Bagley III to the Detroit Pistons in a four-team deal, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
As part of the agreement, the Kings are reportedly acquiring Donte DiVincenzo from the Milwaukee Bucks, while the Los Angeles Clippers are sending big man Serge Ibaka to Milwaukee.
The full trade breaks down as follows, according to Wojnarowski:
- Kings receive: Donte DiVincenzo, Josh Jackson, Trey Lyles
- Bucks receive: Serge Ibaka, two future second-round picks, cash
- Clippers receive: Rodney Hood, Semi Ojeleye
- Pistons receive: Marvin Bagley
Rumors have long linked Detroit with a move for Bagley. Sacramento reportedly offered the forward last winter in exchange for Saddiq Bey, but the Pistons turned down the offer.
The 22-year-old Bagley has struggled to fulfill expectations in Sacramento since the big man was drafted second overall in 2018. The Duke product averaged 14.5 points and shot 50% from the floor through his first three seasons but is down to 9.3 points per game on 46.3% shooting in his fourth year.
Milwaukee reportedly also discussed DiVincenzo in trade talks with the Boston Celtics in a deal that would have sent guard Dennis Schroder to the Bucks. DiVincenzo is in the final guaranteed year of his rookie deal after Milwaukee opted not to sign him to an extension last summer. Ibaka, meanwhile, returns to the Eastern Conference, where he helped the Toronto Raptors win the 2019 championship. A back issue limited him to just 76 contests over two campaigns with the Clippers. The 32-year-old center has played in 35 games this year, making 10 starts and averaging 6.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and one assist.
