NBA postpones Bulls' next 2 games vs. Pistons, Raptors
The NBA postponed the Chicago Bulls' next two games against the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors amid the Bulls' COVID-19 outbreak, the league announced Monday.
Chicago was set to host Detroit on Tuesday before traveling to face Toronto on Thursday.
It's the first time the NBA has postponed games this season. The league's decision was influenced by the Chicago Department of Public Health's concerns about the Bulls playing this week, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Bulls were restricted to just eight active players - the minimum needed to compete - after forward Alize Johnson reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. He became the 10th Chicago player to enter the NBA's health and safety protocols this month.
Some Bulls staff members are also currently in protocols, according to the league.
