The Boston Celtics and free-agent guard Dennis Schroder have agreed to terms on a contract, Schroder confirmed on Instagram.

"I'm proud to announce that for the 2021-22 season, I'll be playing with the Boston Celtics! This is one of the best franchises in NBA history, and it will be an honor to put on the green and white and do what I love!" Schroder wrote.

The 27-year-old's deal is for one year and worth the $5.9-million mid-level exception, sources tell ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Schroder joins Boston after reportedly rejecting significant offers in the $80 million range from his former Los Angeles Lakers team a mere four months ago.

The German floor general is coming off a productive campaign with the Purple and Gold that saw him average 15.4 points and 5.8 assists in 61 games.

Schroder finished second in Sixth Man of the Year voting in the 2019-20 season.
