Walker makes Celtics' season debut vs. Knicks
Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker made his first appearance of the season on Sunday against the New York Knicks.
The 30-year-old has missed the Eastern Conference leaders' first 11 games while recovering from a left knee injury that required a stem cell injection in October.
Walker's return should provide a boost to a team dealing with a host of injuries and absences due to health and safety protocols.
In his first season with the Celtics after moving from the Charlotte Hornets, Walker averaged 20.4 points per game in 56 outings before missing the tail end of the 2019-20 campaign with the knee issue.
Daniel Theis was also ruled available for Sunday's midday tilt against New York after the Celtics' big man injured a finger vs. the Magic.
Jayson Tatum, Robert Williams, and Carsen Edwards all missed out for Brad Stevens' side due to the league's protocols.
