Veteran point guard Rajon Rondo will miss at least three more games to rest and rehabilitate his injured right knee, the Atlanta Hawks announced Tuesday, according to The New York Times' Marc Stein.

That timeframe includes a game against the Charlotte Hornets at home tomorrow evening, followed by a second contest with the Hornets on the road on Dec. 9, and then a home game versus the Philadelphia 76ers on Dec. 11.

Rondo was available for Monday's matchup against the New York Knicks but didn't check into the game, owing to his ongoing knee issues.

The 34-year-old has been held to two appearances this season, averaging six points and seven assists in 15.5 minutes per game.

The two-time NBA champion signed a two-year, $15-million contract with the Hawks this past fall.
