Karl-Anthony Towns missed the Minnesota Timberwolves' game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday and will be re-evaluated weekly due to a left wrist injury, the team announced.
Towns will not require surgery. He was evaluated by a hand specialist in Los Angeles on Sunday, which revealed a left perilunate subluxation.
The two-time All-Star suffered the injury during Saturday's win over the Utah Jazz but returned to the contest.
Towns opened the season strong, averaging 19 points, 11.5 rebounds, and five assists over his first two games, both Minnesota victories.
