Andre Drummond hasn't been with the Cleveland Cavaliers for too long, but he plans to stick around and pick up his $28.7-million player option for next season.

"That's going to be hard to give up, so you can count on me being in Cleveland still," Drummond said Tuesday on ESPN's "Le Batard & Friends - STUpodity" podcast.

Drummond added, "I definitely will be in Cleveland, 100 percent."

The two-time All-Star was acquired from the Detroit Pistons at February's trade deadline. He averaged 17.5 points and 11.1 boards across eight appearances for the Cavs.

Drummond was on pace to earn his third consecutive rebounding title when the 2019-20 NBA campaign was put on hold. He has until Oct. 17 to officially exercise his 2020-21 player option and can sign an extension after the league's moratorium period ends Oct. 23, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.

Prior to the trade, the UConn product had been with the Pistons since the club drafted him ninth overall in 2012.
