Ahead of the final game at Oracle Arena, Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson reminded fans of Kevin Durant's influential role during the current playoffs and throughout the team's championship runs over the past two seasons.

"Game day, and it's obviously a big one," Thompson wrote on Instagram before Game 6 of The Finals against the Toronto Raptors. "But DubNation, I need you to reflect on the fact that we would not be in this position if it weren't for this man and his sacrifices. He's the reason there are banners hanging in the rafters of Oracle."

Durant underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered during Game 5. It was his first appearance since straining his calf in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets.

Thompson called on Warriors fans to bring energy in Durant's absence while providing some words of encouragement.

"We all know this is a minor setback for a major comeback!! Nothing can impede this man's greatness," Thompson wrote. "Speaking of Oracle, let's lay it all out there tonight in honor (of) the 47 years in this beautiful building. Let’s get it DubNation! #doitforK #onelastdance"

Golden State is moving across the Bay Bridge to the new Chase Center in San Francisco next season. Oracle Arena opened in 1966 and is currently the oldest venue in the NBA.
