Kyrie not sweating shooting woes vs. Bucks: 'Who cares?'

After saying he didn't think he'd replicate his 8-of-22 shooting performance in Game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics All-Star Kyrie Irving failed to live up to his prediction by going just 7-of-22 from the field Monday night in Game 4.

Now shooting 37.3 percent overall for the series and 19-of-62 over the last three games, Irving doesn't seem the least bit concerned with his ongoing shooting struggles as the Celtics find themselves with their backs against the wall.

"Who cares? I'm a basketball player," Irving said following Boston's 113-101 loss at TD Garden, via ESPN. "(I) prepare the right way. ... It's a little different when your rhythm is challenged every play down. You're being picked up full court. They're doing things to test you. The expectations on me are going to be sky high.

"I try to utilize their aggression against them and still put my teammates in great positions while still being aggressive. I'm trying to do it all. For me, the 22 shots, I should've shot 30. I'm that great of a shooter. I think that just the consistency of just going at it, staying aggressive, is always going to put us in a great position."

Irving recorded a double-double with a team-high 23 points and 10 assists in 44 minutes of action Monday, adding six rebounds and a pair of steals while shooting a meager 1-of-7 from 3-point range. It marked the third game in a row the 27-year-old shot worse than 40 percent from the floor and the sixth of the playoffs.

Now up 3-1 in the second round, the Bucks can eliminate Boston from the postseason with a win in Game 5 at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday.
