Derrick Rose's best NBA days were in a Chicago Bulls uniform, and according to his agent B.J. Armstrong, he might wear that jersey again.

During an appearance on 670 AM The Score on Monday, Armstrong said his client is open to a reunion with the club in free agency this summer.

"I think we’re going to look at everything, we want to look at the situation," Armstrong said. "There isn’t a situation we would not look at because Derrick is still a very capable player. We’ll see what the Bulls have.

"There’s no secret, there’s no doubt that in his heart, Chicago will always be there. We’ll see. I don’t know what the Bulls are going to do at this particular time … If it presented itself, we’d be open to that conversation."

The Bulls drafted Rose first overall in 2008. He spent seven seasons in the Windy City, averaging 19.7 points and 6.2 assists across 406 appearances. Rose made three All-Star teams during his Chicago tenure, and at age 22 he became the youngest player to be named the NBA's MVP.

He hasn't been the same since tearing his ACL during the first round of the 2012 NBA playoffs. But the 30-year-old is fresh off a resurgent season with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2018-19, averaging 18 points and 4.3 assists, and hitting a career-high 37 percent from beyond the arc.

Rose also set a new personal best with 50 points against the Utah Jazz in October. He hadn't recorded 40-plus points in a game since 2011.

Rose underwent season-ending arthroscopic surgery in late March to remove bone chips from his right elbow.
