Paul Pierce created quite the stir when he claimed he had a better career than Dwyane Wade during ESPN's "NBA Countdown" show Friday.

A day later, Wade's son Zaire clapped back at Pierce on social media, roasting the former Boston Celtics star's claim.

The Miami Heat legend hasn't directly addressed Pierce, but he has thanked those who've spoken out in his defense.

Wade was the NBA Finals MVP in 2006 and earned All-NBA first-team honors twice. He averaged 22 points, 5.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per contest over his 16-year NBA career and will retire at season's end.

Pierce averaged 19.7 points, 5.6 boards, and 3.5 assists per game across 1,343 career appearances. The 41-year-old was named Finals MVP in 2008 and his No. 34 was retired by the Celtics.
