Kobe's 'Dear Basketball' wins Oscar for Best Animated Short Film

Black Mamba can now add a certain gold statuette to his trophy case.
"Dear Basketball," the animated short based on the eponymous letter written by Kobe Bryant regarding his retirement from the NBA, won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film at the Academy Awards on Sunday night.
Directed by Glen Keane, the animation beat out fellow nominees "Lou," "Garden Party," "Revolting Rhymes," and "Negative Space" for the honor.
