Dirk glad Westbrook stuffed him: 'I probably woulda got hung on the rim'

Dirk Nowitzki looked every one of his 37 years when he went up for a two-handed dunk attempt in Game 3 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night.
As Nowitzki - who's dealing with a bone bruise in his right knee - got off the ground slowly, with minimal lift, Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook came screaming in to swat his attempt away at the rim.
But far from being salty about the indignity, Nowitzki sounded a note of gratitude after the game.
"I was actually kind of glad he got there," he said, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon, "because I probably woulda got hung on the rim."
Nice to know that, even after suffering a 29-point playoff defeat, Nowitzki still has a sense of humor.
