A heavyweight bout between former title challenger Derrick Lewis and Rodrigo Nascimento will headline UFC St. Louis on May 11, the promotion announced Saturday.

Once one of the UFC's top heavyweights, Lewis has lost four of his last five fights and ranks 12th in the division. The 39-year-old most recently suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jailton Almeida in November. Since losing to Ciryl Gane in a fight for the interim UFC heavyweight title in 2021, "The Black Beast" is 2-4.

Nascimento is on a three-fight win streak, with his most recent victory coming in November versus Don'Tale Mayes via unanimous decision. The 31-year-old Brazilian has posted a 4-1 record with one no-contest since making his UFC debut in 2020.

By headlining UFC St. Louis, Lewis will have the second-most heavyweight main events in promotion history (11) behind only Junior dos Santos (12), according to Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie. Meanwhile, it'll be Nascimento's first UFC main event.
