Light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira will defend his title against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 274 on May 7, according to ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

Prochazka confirmed the news on Twitter.

The promotion has yet to announce a location for the pay-per-view event.

The bout marks Teixeira's first title defense since he captured the belt from Jan Blachowicz with a submission victory at UFC 267. The 42-year-old's win came nearly seven years after his first championship shot against Jon Jones in 2014. Teixeira (33-7) is riding a six-fight win streak that includes finishes over Blachowicz, Thiago Santos, and Anthony Smith.

This is Prochazka's first title shot and third UFC bout. The native of the Czech Republic knocked out Dominick Reyes in the second round last May. Prochazka (28-3-1) also stopped Volkan Oezdemir in his debut at UFC 251.
