Nurmagomedov offers to personally pay Ferguson extra $200K for fight
Khabib Nurmagomedov is putting his money where his mouth is.
The No. 1 UFC lightweight contender is determined to remove any and all hurdles that stand between a fight with No. 2-ranked Tony Ferguson. On Monday, Nurmagomedov issued a tweet in which he offered to provide extra compensation if Ferguson signs a bout agreement:
Hey @TonyFergusonXT if the @ufc don't want to pay you I'll pay you 200k extra on your purse let's make this fight now you have no excuse

UFC president Dana White recently said a potential Nurmagomedov-Ferguson bout is unlikely to happen due to Ferguson wanting to receive the same pay as Nurmagomedov. While it's doubtful that White would allow Nurmagomedov to personally pony up the dough, it's obvious "The Eagle" isn't giving up on making the matchup happen.
