LA Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard has been in plenty of local derbies, but the iconic Englishman could only muster three minutes of action in Saturday's California Clasico before sustaining an apparent pulled muscle.

Gerrard, 35, immediately motioned to the bench and was tended to by the team's medical staff. He was substituted for Baggio Husidic, who took over in the middle of the park alongside Dutch destroyer Nigel De Jong.
Luckily, Bruce Arena has 87 minutes to adjust to the sudden change.
