Ignacio Piatti now sits alone atop the Montreal Impact's all-time MLS regular season scoring charts after surpassing Marco Di Vaio with a penalty goal scored against the Portland Timbers on Saturday at Stade Saputo.
Piatti's latest effort, which came from a penalty won by new Designated Player Blerim Dzemaili, gives the Argentine winger 35 regular season league goals to his name in an Impact shirt, one more than Di Vaio in MLS and two more overall at 42 goals.
