Report: Howard could miss rest of MLS playoffs with adductor injury
It looks as though Tim Howard's injury is worse than initially feared.
The Colorado Rapids' goalkeeper was forced out of the United States' 2-1 loss to Mexico on Friday with an adductor issue, and Jeff Carlisle of ESPN FC reports that the 37-year-old is in danger of missing the remainder of the MLS postseason due to the ailment.

Carlisle cites a source who places Howard's recovery time at "months, not weeks," and adds that surgery could be necessary, which would rule out the veteran until January.
If Howard is indeed on the shelf for the rest of the playoffs, the Rapids will be forced to turn to Zac MacMath in his stead.
Colorado, looking to capture its second MLS Cup title in club history, will resume its playoff adventure on Nov. 22 with the opening leg of the Western Conference final against the Seattle Sounders.
