The Gurriel brothers have inched closer to their goal of playing in MLB after the Cuban stars were spotted in a Miami airport in early March.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and older brother Yulieski have hired Andy Mota and Adam Katz of Wasserman Media Group as their official player representatives, according to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com.

"We met with a few firms, looked at our options and decided that this was a good fit for us," Yulieski said. "We trust that they'll do a good job in guiding our path to MLB and our careers."

Mota and Katz also represent other Cuban MLB athletes, such as Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig and Kansas City Royals designated hitter Kendrys Morales.

The 22-year-old Lourdes Jr. hit .332/.395/.565 for Industriales of the Cuban National Series in 2015, while Yulieski - one of the island nation's greatest ever players - slashed .488/.569/.858 with the same club in 35 games.

The pair first defected in February while playing in the Dominican Republic during the Caribbean Series. Sanchez reports the brothers are in the United States on visitors visas and training in Miami.
