Ramirez was traded to the the Braves for a player to be named later and cash, the team announced Friday.
Analysis:
Ramirez spent most of his time in Triple-A last season, as he managed to pitch just 4.2 innings for the Mariners in 2015. His time in the big leagues essentially served as an audition for the pitcher to find a role in next season's bullpen, but the team didn't find him worth keeping after he posted an ERA of 11.57 in his time on the mound.
